Surat at-Takwir “The Overthrowing”, literally “The Turning Into a Sphere” is the eighty-first sura of the Qur'an with 29 ayat.
Surah At Takwir (The Rolling)
In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.
- When the sun is rolled up.
- When the stars are dimmed.
- When the mountains are set in motion.
- When the relationships are suspended.
- When the beasts are gathered.
- When the oceans are set aflame.
- When the souls are paired.
- When the girl, buried alive, is asked:
- For what crime was she killed?
- When the records are made public.
- When the sky is peeled away.
- When the Fire is set ablaze.
- When Paradise is brought near.
- Each soul will know what it has readied.
- I swear by the galaxies.
- Precisely running their courses.
- And by the night as it recedes.
- And by the morn as it breathes.
- This is the speech of a noble messenger.
- Endowed with power, eminent with the Lord of the Throne.
- Obeyed and honest.
- Your friend is not possessed.
- He saw him on the luminous horizon.
- And He does not withhold knowledge of the Unseen.
- And it is not the word of an accursed devil.
- So where are you heading?
- It is only a Reminder to all mankind.
- To whoever of you wills to go straight.
- But you cannot will, unless Allah wills—The Lord of the Worlds.

| Biai-yi dzanbin qutilat | بِأَيِّ ذَنْبٍ قُتِلَتْ | 9 |
| Wa-idzaash-shuhufu nusyirat | وَإِذَا الصُّحُفُ نُشِرَتْ | 10 |
| Wa-idzaassamaa-u kusyithat | وَإِذَا السَّمَاءُ كُشِطَتْ | 11 |
| Wa-idzaal jahiimu su'iirat | وَإِذَا الْجَحِيمُ سُعِّرَتْ | 12 |
| Wa-idzaal jannatu uzlifat | وَإِذَا الْجَنَّةُ أُزْلِفَتْ | 13 |
| 'Alimat nafsun maa ahdharat | عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌ مَا أَحْضَرَتْ | 14 |
| Falaa uqsimu bil khunnas(i) | فَلا أُقْسِمُ بِالْخُنَّسِ | 15 |
| Al-jawaaril kunnas(i) | الْجَوَارِ الْكُنَّسِ | 16 |
| Wallaili idzaa 'as'as(a) | وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا عَسْعَسَ | 17 |
| Wash-shubhi idzaa tanaffas(a) | وَالصُّبْحِ إِذَا تَنَفَّسَ | 18 |
| Innahu laqaulu rasuulin kariimin | إِنَّهُ لَقَوْلُ رَسُولٍ كَرِيمٍ | 19 |
| Dzii quu-watin 'inda dziil 'arsyi makiinin | ذِي قُوَّةٍ عِنْدَ ذِي الْعَرْشِ مَكِينٍ | 20 |

| Wamaa shaahibukum bimajnuunin | وَمَا صَاحِبُكُمْ بِمَجْنُونٍ | 22 |

| Wamaa huwa 'alal ghaibi bidhaniinin | وَمَا هُوَ عَلَى الْغَيْبِ بِضَنِينٍ | 24 |
| Wamaa huwa biqauli syaithaanin rajiimin | وَمَا هُوَ بِقَوْلِ شَيْطَانٍ رَجِيمٍ | 25 |
| Fa-aina tadzhabuun(a) | فَأَيْنَ تَذْهَبُونَ | 26 |
| In huwa ilaa dzikrul(n)-lil'aalamiin(a) | إِنْ هُوَ إِلا ذِكْرٌ لِلْعَالَمِينَ | 27 |
| Liman syaa-a minkum an yastaqiim(a) | لِمَنْ شَاءَ مِنْكُمْ أَنْ يَسْتَقِيمَ | 28 |
